I'd wanted to plate food on a tray like this since before we moved in together, and I finally did it. The size and the shape are both right. I'll admit I don't pull it out as often as I imagined, but when I do, dinner feels like an occasion.
It cost a bit, but two things matter to me: it hasn't warped at all, and it's just plain pretty. Worth it in my book.
Two years of use and I'm still happy with it. The large size gets the most work. It is wood, so water left sitting on it will make the surface open up a little at the seams. Wipe it right away and keep it dry and it holds up fine.
I bought this for a cafe look in our new place. The wood is lighter than it looked online, which was a small letdown, but the size is right and it gets regular use. It'll be my snack tray when people come over.
Set bread, a dessert, and a coffee on it and you've got a home cafe without trying. The wood has a warm tone that gives the table something even when there's nothing on it. Works well for plating when guests are over.
