- Clean and fully dry the wall surface before installation.
- Adhesive strips are recommended for smooth surfaces such as glass, tile, marble, and finished panels, with a recommended load of about 8.8 lb (4 kg) excluding the weight of the shelf.
- Use the no-trace wall hooks on wallpaper, cement, painted walls, and plaster walls, with a recommended load of about 17.6 lb (8 kg) excluding the weight of the shelf.
- Use screw-mounted hardware on most drillable walls, for heavier items, or on uneven wall surfaces, with a recommended load of about 22 lb (10 kg) excluding the weight of the shelf.
- Press the adhesive mounts firmly onto the wall before attaching the support wires.
- Allow the adhesive to set completely before placing items on the shelf.
- Installing the support hook under the center of the shelf makes it more stable.

I put this up with wall pins and it's given me shelf space where there was just blank wall before. One warning: if you're loading it up, you need a pin supporting the center. Concrete walls are also brutal for pins, so I bought extras and had to try several times before it went in. Worth the hassle in the end.
There was no nightstand or shelf next to my bed at all. Now I have somewhere to set my book down when I'm falling asleep, plus my little thermometer. Once it's supported underneath it feels sturdier than I expected. The one downside is that it does leave holes in the wall.
The metal brackets on both sides face outward, which threw me at first, but I'm assuming that's how it's meant to be. They each eat up a little under an inch, so the space you can actually set things on is a couple of inches shorter than the listed size. Fine otherwise, just measure with that in mind.
Not having to drill into the wall is the main reason I bought it, and it delivers on that. Once it's up it feels secure and I've had no shifting with things on it. Obviously how much weight it takes depends on how you mount it, but for what I'm using it for it's solid.
I haven't put anything heavy on it, but it feels solid. The clear acrylic means you can see what's on it from underneath too, which is a fun detail. Good for what it costs, and I can pull it off and take it with me when we move.
