These are pretty enough to leave out as decor when they're not in use. They also came packaged neatly, so I'd have no problem handing the box to someone as a gift.
The shapes work for Korean food, Western food, or dessert, which is more than I expected from something this decorative. The wells are also bigger than they look, so a real portion of a side dish fits. If they weren't on the table they'd make good little trays for jewelry.
Really pretty without shouting about it. The muted finish is what I like most, calm enough that it doesn't fight with anything else on the table.
Honestly I bought these on impulse because they looked good, and I've been happier with them than I expected. Now I find myself thinking about what to put in them before I even cook. The white isn't a bright white either. There's a soft ivory warmth to it that I like better than stark porcelain.
The design is clean and simple with just enough detail to feel like more than a plain dish. Nothing to complain about here. I'm happy with how they look on the table.
